& MULTI-TRIBUTE ARTISTE / VINTAGE VOCALIST

& 1940's/WWII RE-ENCTOR based in Torbay, Devon. 

 

An established & experienced performer,

with a career that has taken her across Europe, Canada, the USA

& New Zealand.  Now based in Torbay, SANDY is a

TOP NAME on the English Riviera & south west coast

cabaret & live entertainment scene.

 

A trained dancer, talented musician & a former BUTLINS REDCOAT ENTERTAINER - SANDY has worked in West End musical theatre

& taken the lead role in several professional touring company productions, including MARY in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

& NANCY in OLIVER.  She has also fronted many duos, trios,

groups & showbands throughout her career, before turning solo.  

 

SANDY was most notably lead vocalist with the acclaimed

JOHNNY STILES 18-PIECE BIG-BAND SOUND ORCHESTRA

& featured with the band on many TV & radio broadcasts.

GEORGE HAMILTON IV -  SANDY has also enjoyed a

successful career on the Gospel & Christian music scene

for several years, working alongside many of the

leading Evangelists & motivational speakers in the UK.

 

As part of the team that pioneered Christian television in the UK,

 SANDY was the 'anchor-woman' & face of

THE VISION CHANNEL - part of Vision Channel Broadcasting,

who were the first Christian TV station to air on the

cable networks in the UK & who paved the way for the many satellite Christian channels that have followed since.  For 10 years, SANDY hosted and presented Christian programmes across the UK.

 

Having always had a passion for the music of the 1940's - SANDY made her debut appearance as a 'vintage vocalist'  in 2012,

after being invited by THE SPITFIRE SOCIETY to support the much acclaimed RAY McVAY GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA in concert

for a major UK 1940's event called TRIBUTE TO THE SPITFIRE.

In 2014 she supported THE MILITARY WIVES CHOIR in concert

for the WW1 100th Anniversary Concert .

Having taken the 1940's & vintage scene

by storm & since establishing herself as a respected 1940/WWII

re-enactor & vintage vocalist,  SANDY now has a VERY busy

date-sheet & is booked as 'headline act ' in her own right,

for many 1940 re-enactment weekends/events in the UK.
 

SANDY is well known for her superb stage presentation,

which extends to all aspects of her performances, with

authentic Military uniforms of the BRITISH & US ARMY, ROYAL NAVY

& AIR-FORCE & she has a VAST vintage wardrobe of genuine

1940 outfits, carefully selected to compliment the event/occasion

for which she has been booked.

can also include a 6ft x 6ft FILM SCREEN PRESENTATION

(subject to suitable venue layout & space being available)

which features GENUINE ARCHIVE WWII FOOTAGE. 

Carefully researched & edited, the films accompany some

of her songs & can be used for backdrop presentations. 

Many have a humorous element guaranteed to raise a smile!  

 

Her stage presentation also includes Winston Churchill speeches,

air-raid sirens, search-lights, British & American flags, bunting,

sing-a-longs & various other stage props, chosen to set

the scene & create that all-important wartime atmosphere!

PLEASE NOTE: SANDY SPARKLE works in ALL areas of the music industry - including: public houses, social clubs, hotels, holiday centres, restaurants, cruises, cabaret & musical theatre, etc.

Her musical repertoire is VAST & VARIED & covers ALL GENRES

 This versatility enables her to offer a COMBINED evening or event with a  'mixed'  musical repertoire, combining 1940's alongside other sets of general mixed popular music from across ALL DECADES

for EASY LISTENING & DANCING, tailored to suit your venue/event, with broad appeal to ALL-AGE audiences, should you require

a more varied musical repertoire,

 IE: for a wedding reception or party, etc. 

 

SANDY can perform song sets of ANY duration to suit.

From short 20 / 30 / 40 or 45 minute sets - to a 1 hour set

- up to a maximum full 2 hour show! 

 

SANDY SPARKLE performs with her own sound system & dedicated sound engineer on ALL BOOKINGS & does NOT use

any 'in-house' sound equipment provided at any venue or by another act. Working with a top of the range BOSE TWIN-TOWER LINE ARRAY SYSTEM or a NEXO PS15 SYSTEM, this act is equipped to perform in ANY SIZE venue & also for outdoor events such as festivals/regattas/air & car shows, etc!
